In support of this mission, Marketing is responsible for developing integrated marketing strategies across Wells Fargo s business lines and geographies; leading brand strategy; leveraging deep insights and analytics about consumers and businesses; executing customer messaging across all channels and touchpoints; and building out capabilities that move toward real- time, always-on, personalized and compelling messaging and digital experiences. The Business Initiatives Consultant 2 position will be an integral part of the Wells Fargo Meetings and Events (WFME) Sourcing and Contracting team. This position will support day-to-day operations by driving process improvements to ensure optimal productivity while reinforcing a proactive risk management culture maintaining an effective and comprehensive control environment. Responsibilities include * Managing TPRM life cycle activities as required for third-party requirements and deliverables, including Category managed third party (CMTP) oversight, controls and reporting * Ensuring proper termination documentation is provided to the Supplier Management team in order to off board third-party vendors and close out their related information security, strategic, compliance, operational, financial stability, and business continuity risks * Ensuring third-parties do not begin engagements until due diligence is completed and all required approvals are obtained * Monitoring completion dates associated with engagements and subscriptions to ensure contract renewals are processed timely, to ensure continuity * Managing a central repository of third-party documentation including retention of required governance artifacts, and documentation related to due diligence and ongoing monitoring activities * Identify, plan and communicate impact of initiatives/projects to vendors and service providers * Create and maintain operational efficiencies via technology, automation and review of business process. Drive the quality process with the goal of maximizing metrics. * Reinforce a proactive risk management culture while maintaining an effective and comprehensive control environment by implementing processes/tools to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor, and report risks * Perform assessments of operational risks events to assess root cause, impact, and remedial action, along with the identification of any thematic operational risks * Conduct periodic audits to review processes, checklists, control points to determine if complete and accurate processing per WFME guidelines * Partner and consult with WFME Leaders, Enablement Services Team, WFME subject matter experts, and business partners on matters of significance regarding strategic approaches, effectiveness of support functions, and business performance improvement opportunities * Keep abreast of latest operational risk management, process, and Hospitality industry techniques and best practices Location/s Des Moines, IA strongly preferred but other hub locations may be considered Please note Based on the volume of applications received, this job posting may be removed prior to the indicated close date. If you do not apply prior to the closing of this posting, we encourage you to apply for other opportunities with Wells Fargo Required_Qualifications * 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following project management, implementation, or strategic planning Desired_Qualifications * 3+ years of strategic planning and development experience * 5+ years of risk management experience * Procurement and supply chain management experience * Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner * Ability to manage process improvement initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies * Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment * Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Knowledge and understanding of corporate event planning Other_Desired_Qualifications * Proven ability to implement across both long-term and short-term engagements, plus understand and communicate complex concepts. * Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment * A highly collaborative work style with strong ability to influence and build consensus across virtual teams * Understanding of third party risk policies, procedures and organizations and their inter-workings in a financial services company * Knowledge of third-party lifecycle activities and/or experience performing third-party due diligence risk assessments * Experience in working and analyzing complex business issues and demonstrates the ability to recommend and implement innovative solutions through strong aptitude for problem solving leadership * Understands the Meeting and Events planning industry and the internal and external environments in which we operate * Having the ability to clearly understand and articulate company/industry issues for a variety of different audiences and channels * Capability to anticipate issues, recommend solutions, draw insights and conclusions, and escalate issues from data originating from multiple sources. * Experience monitoring processes and control activities across various groups. * Knowledge and understanding of maintaining and updating SharePoint team web content * Experience working with Wells Fargo s TRIMS and e-sourcing Emptoris Job Expectations * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Street Address IA-West Des Moines7001 Westown Pkwy - West Des Moines, IA Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
