If so, then the Business Analyst position may be for you! As a Business Analyst on one of our agile project teams, you will analyze the business requirements, workflow procedures and system functionality to improve business processes in a variety of interconnected systems. You will work with business units, subsidiaries, and department experts to understand issues, make recommendations, and develop functional specifications. As a member of the agile development team, you will work with product owners to create user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritize the backlog and facilitate backlog grooming sessions with your team. You will be a member of a cross-functional team dedicated to delivering the highest level of service and quality to improve processes for the organization! Homesteaders provides consumer friendly insurance products to fund prearranged funerals through a network of independent funeral homes located throughout the United States. Homesteaders is a leader in the industry and this pride and dedication starts with our employees!Requirements for the position include:Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field preferred.Minimum of three years' experience in information services, business analysis, policy administration and/or customer service is preferredExperience working within an agile team and related tools (Jira or equivalent) is idealStrong aptitude and demonstrated ability for detail-oriented workWillingness to learn new frameworks and platformsAbility to synthesize information and objectively review and compare data from a variety of sources, probing beyond the obvious, identifying issues while assessing potential outcomes. Ability to review and analyze complex information for accuracy and logic.Participates and contributes ideas, suggestions, and solutions as a member of a team to help move the entire team towards successful goal completion; able to work effectively in a team environment to produce specific outcomes; shares knowledge and skills with team members; willing to assist othersThe ability to handle a variety of duties within specific deadlines and with limited direct supervision.
