The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Analytics & Decision Support (ADS) - Analytics Team is seeking an Analytics Consultant 5 to join their team. ADS is the Operations Center of Excellence (COE) for Analytics and the Analytics team specifically, provides our Operations partners with analytic insights, data visualization, risk, regulatory and planning support through the creation of dashboards, exception and quality reports and consultative analysis in order to use various methods to transform their information into insight, knowledge and understanding. This position will integrate data from multiple sources to automate and maintain analyses and reports and identification of strategic solutions. Responsible for senior-level consulting partnerships including delivery of findings and recommendations. Duties will typically include providing insights, developing analytical strategies, and performing analytical support and/or solutions for a wide array of business initiatives. Will be involved in the development of query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, and dashboards that enable analysis and advanced data visualization. To a certain degree, may be involved directly in the technical build-out and support of databases used to support analytic functions. May lead project/virtual teams and mentor lower-level staff. Specifically this individual will have responsibility to: Coordinate and drive a common approach to reporting in support of the PVSI Fraud and Claims Management team Partners in the development of complex dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, SASVA and/or MSTR attaching to multiple sources, tiered levels of security and data sets from varied sources Develop expertise on multiple data sources Provides senior level consulting services to Operations leadership and partners around analytics, dashboard development and data mining using in-depth knowledge and expertise Write/code SQL and/or SAS and use advanced data mining capabilities to retrieve and join data from multiple sources Leads project/virtual teams and mentors lower level staff Communicates effectively with peers and partners in both operational and management areas Coordinate and drive common approach to regulatory and compliance metrics/reporting Combining and mining data from multiple cross business data sources ****Preference for role to be located in one of the posted locations; however, consideration will be given to candidates across the Wells Fargo footprint. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling Desired Qualifications Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Data warehouse experience Ability to capture and document complex business and functional requirements Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities Ability to translate complex technical needs into straightforward requests for information and collaboration, working with a wide range of people Ability to work independently Ability to present complex material in a digestible, consumable manner to all levels of management Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Ability to quickly learn business operations and processes Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring Other Desired Qualifications 5+ years of SAS or Tableau experience Demonstrated consultative business analysis experience Experience with SAS Visual Analytics and/or SAS Visual Investigator Ability to drive the requirements process with both technical and business partners Salary Information The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
