DescriptionConverts data from specifications and statements of problems to computer code by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs all duties and responsibilities in a positive manner. Designs/codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools. Maintains and modifies existing applications with supervision and under the direction of IT Management and/or assigned senior developers. Performs maintenance programming for existing version. Performs custom programming at customer request. Assumes responsibility for ensuring their work conforms to the standards/conventions as approved by IT Management. Must be willing to travel to and work in other Heartland Co-op locations/regions for extended periods of time. Must maintain a valid driver's license and commercial insurability at all times. Other duties may be assigned.Requirements Development Production Development production is appropriate for a Developer I. Interpersonal Skills (Novice Level): Task Management Technical Analysis Mentoring / Coaching Technical Skills (Novice Level): Web (HTML5, CSS, Javascript) Database (DB2 / PostgreSQL SQL, Database Design) Scripting Languages (CL, Python, VBScript, Power Shell) Programming Languages (RPG, AVR, C++, C#)Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.Math Ability:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer/Technical Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have appropriate knowledge of the appropriate computer system(s) and appropriate computer programming language(s). Certificates and Licenses: No certifications are needed.
