We are licensed in all 50 states and operate through a network of thousands of independent agents who serve more than 51,000 commercial policyholders.Job DetailsResponsible for the daily administration of employee benefits including answering a variety of employee inquires, data entry, processing qualifying events and verifying accuracy of the data. Performs open enrollment process for all company operations. Administers employee leaves of absence, FMLA, STD, LTD and workers' compensation. Provides support on special projects and initiatives. Works under general supervision and assists in writing procedures to perform job functions. Benefits AdministrationAssists employees with the online benefit selection process and instructs them on completing and returning benefit related forms. Answers, researches & problem solves benefit inquiries from employees, former employees, retirees, agents and carrier contacts.Performs PeopleSoft benefits administration work including data entry and processing qualifying events (terminations, birth of child, divorce, marriage), ensures document submitted for qualifying event is approved before entering into PeopleSoft, processes employee benefit elections, researches election issues, runs Benefits Administration System (BAS) activity, and sends interface files to carriers.

  • Assists in testing in PeopleSoft.
  • Sends 401(k) and Deferred Compensation imports.
  • Prepares and sends employee benefit termination packets.
  • Coordinates Special Projects including open enrollment, required annual compliance notices, internal and external audit, 5500 reporting, and retirement compliance testing.
  • Responsible for working with the HR Specialist regarding ECM Legal Review for benefit documents such as contracts, plan renewals, summary plan descriptions (SPDs) and amendments and documentation retention which includes transferring all benefit related documents into ECM.
  • Works with ECM administrator to troubleshoot issues, change location of housed documents and add new item types as requested.
  • Maintains compliance and transferring of employee benefits folders into ECM.
  • Assists with auditing benefit files to ensure all necessary documentation is in file and transfers to ECM when appropriate.
  • Responsible for payment and reconciliation of benefit billings, posts journal entries and reconciles premium payments received from COBRA participants & retirees.
  • Prepares funding request for Flex Spending Account.
  • Generates and prepares VDRs for a variety of benefit related expenses.
  • Researches billing discrepancies and work with other departments and carrier to resolve.
  • Utilizes PeopleSoft queries for annual census data, testing and other special projects.
  • Utilizes existing PeopleSoft queries for a variety of audit functions and creates simple to complex queries upon request.
  • Assists with running monthly and quarterly queries for auditing purposes and running queries upon request for special projects including compliance testing.
  • Maintains strong understanding of PeopleSoft benefits administration processes.Employee Leave of Absences
    • Works closely with vendors regarding employee leaves which includes FMLA, STD, LTD and Worker's Compensation.
    • Prepares and coordinates all documents related to employee leave of absence.
    • Answers, researches & problem solves complex employee leave situations.
    • Monitors employee leave process and updates accordingly.
    • Develops and provides related training based on need.
    • Maintains solid understanding of laws governing the Family Medical Leave Act. Wellness
      • Serves as Wellness Committee Chairperson. Responsible for the coordination of health screenings, reporting and company wellness activities.
      • Processes wellness reimbursements and incentive programs.
      • Answers, researches & problem solves wellness inquiries.
      • Performs front desk reception and other related duties as required.Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision insurance.         • Two year associate degree or college level course of study in business administration, human resources management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
        • Bachelor's degree preferred.
        • Three or more years experience administering employee benefits.
