ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.Tracks, measures, and reports on aspects of risk management, including regulatory compliance, vendor management, business continuity, information security, and enterprise-wide risk assessments.Develops risk management processes and workflows within the risk management software. Delivers training to bank employees on the usage of the risk management software. Disseminates risk-related materials and information to bank employees to ensure familiarity with best practices and regulatory requirements.Maintains input and data quality of risk management systems and databases for risk management, including regulatory compliance, vendor management, business continuity, information security, and enterprise-wide risk assessments.Monitors internal control practices for adherence with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Compiles findings and recommendations and communicates with department managers.Assists Compliance and Audit teams with special projects.Serves as a backup for other position(s) and performs other duties, as assigned.Enhances career through work experience and continuing education.Maintains compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.Participates and responds to examinations, audits and third party reviews.Complies with the Information Security Program and is accountable for maintaining a high level of risk and security awareness.Establishes a good image for the Bank by being active and visible in the community.Attends meetings as assigned.Develops a working knowledge of the Bank's products and services through usage and webex attendance to provide quality customer service while building relationships and exceeding expectations.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Three to five years' experience required, preferably in Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Banking, Credit Administration, Auditing, Accounting, or similar; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of state and federal banking regulations and industry best practices. Skill in planning and project management and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbove average verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical reference and basic algebra. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONINGAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid, logical conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in written, mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to outlying branch areas, as business needs dictate.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
