PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
Under general supervision of the Divisional Director, the
Administrator-In-Training (AIT) oversees the total operation of the
facility; plans, organizes, directs, and controls human and
fiscal/material resources in order to assure residents receive the
highest quality care possible from available resources. Functions
independently, with extensive autonomy within the constraints of
company policy and procedure, and as outlined by Divisional
Director. Direction and guidance are available from Divisional
Director, regional consultants, peer administrators within the
company, and corporate staff.
Must be flexible to relocate anywhere in the state of Iowa.
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration or related
Must obtain Iowa Nursing Home Administrator license within six
months of hire.
Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations governing
nursing facility/skilled nursing facility operation.
Demonstrated effective supervisory, communication, and

High level of literacy in written and spoken English.

Proficient interpersonal relationships and communication

Operate the facility in accordance with the established company

Assume responsibility for implementation of an effective Quality
Assume responsibility for identification, investigation and
follow up on concerns identified in the facility Quality Indicator
Act as liaison to the governing body for the medical, nursing
and other professional staffs and all facility departments.
Prepare or assure preparation of all reports as required.
Adapt company policies, procedures, job descriptions and other
guidelines to meet the specific needs of the facility, without
altering the integrity and intent of the original.
