Position Overview
This position is available as an opportunity in any of our major
company locations (Los Angeles, Chile; Atlanta, GA; Des Moines, IA;
Boise, ID).
The primary responsibility of the Senior SAP Transportation
Management Analyst is mastery of the relevant information systems
to maintain, and advance those systems in accordance with the
requirements of the business units and operations that utilize
those systems. The Analyst will work in the process of
interpretation of system requirements, design specifications,
configuration, testing, trouble shooting, and support of current &
future information systems and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates activities with business functional user groups to
define the Enterprise Best Practice business processes and identify
exceptions to be resolved
- Analyzes and verifies Projects requirements from customers for
completeness, consistency, feasibility to the business needs via
Best Practices.
- Analyze business processes and provide solutions to optimize
productivity and ensure data accuracy.
- Build process documentation, functional specifications, test
scripts and help with training documentation
Monitor existing processes to ensure system accuracy and
integrity
- Provide day to day system/process support to users in
coordination with corporate support team
- Maintain system configuration as defined by project scope
within SAP/ERP and other business applications.
- Change management and train users on new systems and
processes.
- Manage and oversee the design and development of customized
reports, utilizing ABAP technical resources and other tools (e.g.,
report writer) functionality within SAP
- Design and development of interfaces and conversion programs
to/from existing legacy systems
- Work directly with project stakeholders throughout the entire
lifecycle of multiple projects to define, design and implement
robust technology solutions.
- Collaborate outsourced resources to achieve project goals
- System testing effort necessary as part of project
deliverables
- Partners with peers across the IT organization to solve complex
business problems including taking a lead role on the high-level
solution options and design
- Research and Learn relevant technologies, including their
current updates, independently
- Keeping informed of industry trends within the specific
technology area of focus.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent, relevant experience)
- 5+ years Business functional experience within relevant
area.
- Prior experience with SAP / TM implementations
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex, cross-functional
requirements and challenges
- An understanding of and experience with manufacturing and
distribution processes, terms and methodologies
- Basic understanding of an ERP system and the ability to
comprehend overall business impacts of all ERP changes relevant to
TM
- Strong understanding of an TM system and the ability to
comprehend overall business impacts of all TM changes
- Ability to analyze operational problems and develop appropriate
solutions
- Strong interpersonal, listening, written and verbal
communication skills
- Ability to lead and influence groups of people and facilitate
constructive discussion, brainstorming, and quick
decision-making
- Ability to expertly understand and provide direction for all
functional configuration, modification and testing tasks involving
any SAP module
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate required system
changes, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a team
(internal personnel and external consultants) and collaborate on a
solution
- Quality-oriented attention to detail a must
- Work effectively and independently on assigned projects
- Proficient with Windows based software programs
