POSITION OVERVIEW:
PAYROLL ADMINISTRATORAs a payroll administrator, you will be
assisting the director of finance to ensure the efficient operation
of processing payroll and accounts receivable. Duties related to
payroll operations, including maintaining payroll records,
calculating employee pay and assisting with payroll processing in
accordance with Federal, State, and local laws. Must be comfortable
in a fast-paced environment and willing to try your hand at
anything, adapt and be comfortable with change, while exuding
creativity and enjoying collaboration. - - -

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
WHAT DOES A PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR DO?The payroll administrator is
responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payroll processing. In
this role, your priority will be to maintain payroll systems and
records to reflect changes to existing employee wages as well as in
the onboarding of new team members. -Confirm all new-hire
information is in the system and any outstanding issues
(verification documents) are resolved promptlyEstablishing and
setting up tax information in new states, resolving any outstanding
issues with current statesVerify that approvals for all increases
and promotions are received on timeConfirm individuals are set up
in the correct earning and deduction groupsMake all changes in HRIS
system.Process off-cycle payrolls for any items that were missed
during the regularly scheduled payrolls.Research any employee
issues concerning missing payVerify that all clients are in the
system and all employees are assigned to the correct clientConfirm
approval of timecards and track down missing punches to be able to
pull in time for payrollHandle all leave requests and ensure we
have the proper documentation to grant or deny leave
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

experience (3-5 years) Federal and State tax laws
knowledgeIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,
PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Knowledge of payroll processes:
garnishments, benefit deductions, taxes, FMLA experience, Work Comp
experience, LOA experience, Must be detail orientedPossess strong
time management skills
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Must be authorized to work in their country of residence (The
United States or Canada)Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II
background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint. -Job

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely
sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while
using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be
regularly required to operate a computer and other office
equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may
occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish
tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects
from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up
to forty (40) pounds.
