It all begins with you. Internal Audit conducts audits and reports the results of our work to the Audit & Examinations Committee of the Board of Directors. We provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the Company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Audit has a full time opening for a Business Support Functional Consultant 1 position on the Chief Operational Officer (COO) Audit Team. The COO audit team is responsible for coverage of Conduct and Sales Practices risk, Operations, Chief Administrative Officer including third party risk and business resiliency and continuity risk and Strategy Execution and Operations. Given the growing responsibilities within Audit that are driven by heightened expectations, regulatory scrutiny, and industry exposures, the ideal candidates for this position will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, collaborate well with others, and possess excellent trouble shooting, resolution, technical and critical thinking skills. Strategic insight into the alignment of resources, administration, and reporting/communication of the schedule will also be critical for this role. Flexibility is very important in this role as priorities and assignments change frequently. Specific Duties * Serve on Chief Audit Director's (CAD) leadership team and assist CAD with day to day management of the function, including reporting, scheduling, project management, operational matters, process improvement initiatives, and internal and external team communications * Manage and support initiatives related to scheduling activities for audit engagements and projects and provide resource conflict management * Create and/or improve operational processes that ensure high quality of execution and that required deadlines and quality measures are met or exceeded. * Execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives that are larger in scope and complexity * Prioritize projects and initiatives based on changing priorities when needed * Oversee and deliver quality and timely work on projects requiring a high level of detail * Understand and apply appropriate level of detail in verbal and written communication dependent upon audience * Lead the collecting, tracking and monitoring data for various initiatives and regulatory requirements * Lead change initiatives * Ensure plans and programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations * Establish priorities and drive accountability for assigned initiatives, providing leadership to ensure solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to optimize effectiveness, account for all aspects of risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate * Work with key internal and/or external partners, possibly including agency representatives, regulators, and auditors Required_Qualifications * 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services * 5+ years of leadership experience Desired_Qualifications * A BS/BA degree or higher * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important * Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities * Solid problem solving skills * Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Other_Desired_Qualifications * Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools. * Experience at a financial institution or accounting firm. * Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry and understanding of the regulatory landscape * Ability to lead and direct work of a geographically distributed team * Ability to collaborate and manage in a matrixed environment Job Expectations * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Street Address NC-Charlotte301 S College St - Charlotte, NC IA-West Des Moines800 S Jordan Creek Pkwy - West Des Moines, IA MN-Minneapolis600 S 4th St - Minneapolis, MN AZ-PHX-Central Phoenix100 W Washington St - Phoenix, AZ Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
