Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in 30-bed medical surgical unit specializing in post-operative and spine care /n• Patient ratio: Days 1:5, Nights 1:6 /n• Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist /n• Handle medical surgical patients, post-operative cases, and spine care patients /n• Administer heparin drips and provide comprehensive post-surgical care /n• Use EPIC electronic medical record system /n• Wear navy blue solid scrubs /n• Guaranteed 16 hours per week /n• Overtime billable after 40 hours per week (36-40 hrs/week) or after 48 hours (48 hrs/week) /n• Holiday pay at 1.15x multiplier /n• 24 months of medical surgical experience in hospital setting required /n• Strong heparin experience required /n• Post-operative surgical experience required /n• Spine care experience required /n• EPIC EMR experience required /n• Minimum 3 months current travel experience within previous 12 months required /n• First-time travelers not accepted /n• BLS (AHA) certification required /n• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates multiple campuses providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community.
