Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Respiratory Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/21/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract A Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is a healthcare professional specializing in the treatment and management of patients with respiratory disorders. Their responsibilities include: Assessing and treating patients with breathing difficulties and pulmonary disorders, collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans. Conducting lung function tests and analyzing blood and sputum samples to evaluate oxygen and carbon dioxide levels. Operating and maintaining respiratory care equipment, such as ventilators and CPAP machines, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Documenting patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in electronic health records, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient care strategies. Educating patients and families on respiratory health and disease management and staying updated on industry standards and advancements in respiratory therapy.
