Travel Nursing Job Details - Assignment Type: Travel Labor & Delivery RN - Location: West Des Moines, IA 50266 (Iowa nursing jobs) - Start Date: October 13, 2025 - End Date: January 12, 2026 - Duration: 13-week contract - Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) - Hours per Week: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend, including holiday rotation if scheduled - Floating: Required across all campuses (Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, Iowa Methodist) - EMR: EPIC - Scrubs: Hospital provided - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000 - $2140 Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Iowa RN license (Registered Nurse) - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting, including operating room (OR) experience - At least one completed travel RN assignment in the past 12 months (no first-time travelers) - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (OB), and NRP - Proficient in c-section and vaginal deliveries, triage, and able to float to Mother/Baby and Postpartum Care units - Ability to work required winter holidays (must work 2 of 3: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving) - Submission of work history/resume, recent skills checklist, license verification, required certifications, and references Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities - Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients and their families - Manage patient care throughout all stages of labor and delivery, including triage, c-sections, and postpartum care - Administer and monitor drips (magnesium, insulin, pitocin) as required - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Float to other hospital units as needed and adapt to various clinical settings - Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR - Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in West Des Moines, Iowa, and take the next step in your nursing career!
