ParamedicAt Wolfe Eye clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life.Wolfe Eye Clinic has an immediate opening for a Paramedic based in our West Des Moines location. This position will travel to other clinics with the Retina teams.This position is a clinical-based 4-day work week with no weekends and will work closely with the retina specialists to provide comprehensive care for our patients. Candidates should desire to learn in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to positively interact with patients while providing instruction and education.Responsibilities:Rooming patientsAdministering injectionsAssisting physicians with examsTriaging phone calls and responding to tasksScribing for the physicianMaintaining electronic medical recordsPerforming insurance pre-authorizationsOther clinical duties as neededQualifications include:Must be able to work both independently and in a team environmentHave excellent customer service skillsRemain organizedLearn and adapt quicklyMaintain excellent communicationCurrent Iowa license is required, and nursing experience is preferred.Daytime travel within the state of Iowa is required.
