Surgical TechnologistIn medical practice since 1919, Wolfe Eye Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic providing surgical services and vision care throughout Iowa. At Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life.**Please Note:Surgical facility experience and/or Surgical Technologistscertification required for this position.We have an immediate opening for a full-time Surgical Technologist in our Surgical Facility located in West Des Moines.The Surgical Technologist will assist the surgical team in the daily function of the operating room to ensure the highest standard of patient care. Candidates must be able to anticipate the surgeons needs to make the procedure smooth and efficient.Responsibilities include:Decontaminating instruments.Sterile processing.Instrument care and handling.Organizing trays and instruments by surgical procedure.Documenting and record keeping of critical informationPassing instruments during surgical procedures.Performing other duties as assigned.Candidates must be able to:Demonstrate critical thinking skillsJudge situations scientificallyPortray professionalism in the anticipation and planning for the care of our patientsThrive in a fast-paced environment with a positive can-do attitudeSurgical facility experience and/or Surgical Technologistscertification required.We offer excellent pay and an opportunity to join a great team.
