Pine Acres Rehabilitation - Duties and Responsibilities:
The Nursing Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities which are considered essential functions of the position.
v - Develops the nursing schedule to meet the needs of the facility, ensures an appropriate number of staff are assigned to work each shift, contacts and follows-up with staff to meet staffing needs, assists with the recruitment and retention of talented nursing staff.
v - Maintains precise record of hours always worked for all nursing personnel to ensure correct expenditure for the nursing department.
v - Prepares payroll and provides to the Business Office Manager at the expected end of pay period times.
v - Observes variances in wages i.e., overtime, shift incentives and differentials. -Elicits the involvement of the Director of Nursing for usage and approval.
v - Maintains accurate records of FMLA, PTO, and LOA hours for payroll and employment eligibility purposes. - Notifies the Director of Human Resources of FMLA and LOA nursing staff usage.
v - Maintains up-to-date shift and position availabilities in the interest of recruitment opportunities.
v - Orders and maintains medical supplies within budget constraints.
v - Maintains resident information and Pine Acres internal affairs in strict confidence.
v - Assists nursing staff with transporting residents to and from the dining room, activities, and other necessary localities.
v - Keeps current in the facility policies and procedures through attendance to meetings, conferences, conventions, and workshops pertaining to all aspects of employment.
v - Other job duties assigned as deemed necessary by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
v - Will be on part of the on-call rotation.

v - General Qualifications
o - - Good physical and mental health.
o - - Sound judgment and high moral standards.
o - - Sincere desire to work with the aged and those with limited capacity for self-care.
o - - Ability to organize and plan nursing service department schedule.
o - - Must be well-groomed, courteous, tactful, patient, kind and pleasant when dealing with patients.
o - - Must be level-headed in emergency situations.
o - - Must report to work at the scheduled time as set by the Director of Nursing.
o - - Must be self-motivated and have an acute sense of responsibility.
o - - Must possess a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm in order to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and growth.
v - Education
o - - CNA/CMA licensure.
