Description: Responsible for supporting the bank's Enterprise
Risk Management (ERM) and Vendor Management programs which include
reviewing policies and procedures and coordinating appropriate
identification, measurement, monitoring, controls, and reporting.
Works closely with all business lines to ensure appropriate risk
identification and mitigation within these programs. Administrator
for bank's Enterprise Risk Management and Vendor Management
software and handles day-to-day functions.Essential FunctionsCore
ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Risk Management
- Support an effective Enterprise Risk Management program that is
in alignment with industry best practices, regulatory guidance, and
banking requirements.
- Develop, implement, administer, and enhance Enterprise Risk
Management software to ensure appropriate parameters and tracking
are in place and a solid framework developed.
- Operate within the bank's defined risk appetite to achieve
results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing,
monitoring, and reporting bank risks of all types.
- Monitor and test bank product, service, and process changes to
ensure risk assessments are updated and financial risk considered
and mitigated with appropriate controls.
- Implement risk assessment processes, issues tracking, and
measurement of and trend analysis of key risk indicators and key
performance indicators.
- Develop necessary reporting and ensure training for business
line leaders, senior leaders, and the board of directors so there
is a clear understanding of risk levels.
- Schedule and coordinate Risk Management Committee meetings by
developing the agenda, finalizing meeting minutes, and responding
to action items designated by the Committee.
- Assist in tracking and following up on regulatory and risk
management findings and determine impact to risk assessments.Vendor
Management
- Support an effective Vendor Management program that is in
alignment with industry best practices, regulatory guidance, and
banking requirements.
- Develop, implement, administer, and enhance Vendor Management
software to ensure appropriate parameters and tracking are in place
and a solid framework developed.
- Schedule and coordinate Vendor Management Committee meetings by
developing the agenda, finalizing meeting minutes, and responding
to action items designated by the Committee.
- Manage the bank's vendor life-cycle phases from planning,
onboarding, ongoing monitoring, risk assessments reviews, oversight
monitoring, and termination activities.
- Ensure collaboration with business owners and other
stakeholders to make certain vendor risks are properly identified
and controls in place to mitigate risk and minimize financial,
regulatory, and reputational exposure.General Responsibilities
- Collaborate regularly with the Compliance & Risk Director to
ensure expectations for Enterprise Risk Management & Vendor
Management programs are being met.
- Be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging
ideas and opinions and elevating concerns to the Compliance & Risk
Director.
- Lead projects that enhance Enterprise Risk and Vendor
Management processes and promote an understanding of these risk
programs. Serve as a subject matter expert within bank working
groups and on bank committees.
- Gather documentation and information requested by auditors and
regulatory examiners regarding the bank's Enterprise Risk
Management or Vendor Management Programs.
- Understand and comply with banking regulations by following
bank policies and procedures. Stay abreast of relevant regulations,
current industry matters, and any changes implemented internally to
ensure risks are appropriately considered.
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of customers, other
employees, and work by handling confidential information
appropriately.
- Lead special projects as assigned by the Compliance & Risk
Director. Requirements: Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educational/work
experience
- At least 7 years experience working directly in bank compliance
or risk management
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP) designation, or
ability to obtain certification.Additional Qualifications Include

- Full Time, regular employment
- Monday thru Friday, regular business hours
- In-state travel may be required to conduct compliance
training
- Travel may be required to attend seminars, conferences, and
