About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst
with exceptional organizational, collaboration, and communication
skills as well as experience in the areas of balance sheet
analysis, financial forecasting, and process development and
controls. The individual will play a key role in the Business
Initiatives and Strategy group within the broader ALM team. The
Asset-Liability Management Group performs a wide range of
quantitative analyses of the Company's balance sheet behavior. Team
members are responsible for partnering with corporate and business
unit subject matter experts to measure interest rate risk, design
risk management strategies and provide management with insight
concerning the balance sheet projections. This position provides a
unique opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of Wells
Fargo's balance sheet and add value through working on various
Finance strategic initiatives, inclusive of preparing financial
analyses and enhancing or creating new reporting practices while
building partnerships across multiple work streams including
corporate and business unit finance teams. In this role, you
will:
- Manage and support global treasury activities including
funding, liquidity risk management, asset and liability management,
capital management, financial performance management, and related
activities
- Develop and coordinate Asset Liability Management group
initiatives focused on enhancements to balance sheet strategy, risk
management, analytics and reporting
- Lead cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and
execute a variety of initiatives involving balance sheet and risk
management reporting.
- Support ALM enhancements to net interest margin and net
interest income forecasts and analytics, assumptions tracking,
performance monitoring, and attribution analyses
- Create and develop financial analysis and reporting, inclusive
of designing tools and templates
- Support of the group's written deliverables including
initiative updates, supporting documentation and procedures for key
processes and controls
- Support project management activities such as documenting
requirements, conducting stakeholder meetings, and coordinating
progress tracking and status reporting
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent
judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function,
policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Develop metrics and track/evaluate performance of programs,
services and initiatives
- Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and
Model Governance teams as well as outside parties including
regulatory agencies, accounting and consulting firms
- Make recommendations to more experienced group members and
management
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to
resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal customersRequired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated
through one or a combination of the following: work experience,
training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets and financial
instruments
- Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting
and analyzing interest income and balance sheet behavior
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across
all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and
adaptability are important.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal
supervision in a structured environment
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and
accuracy
- Knowledge and understanding of analytical methods used in:
statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting
- Knowledge and understanding of asset liability or liquidity
management software, such as QRM
- Essbase and/or Smart View experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
skills
- Tableau, Power BI or other report building experience
- Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed
environment
- E xperience designing processes to be implemented broadly
across a LOB or large group
- Proven ability to translate strategy into sustainable
implementation and operating plans
- Ability to understand and evaluate end user impact and other
risk factors related to policy, process or program implementation,
