This healthcare company in West Des Moines is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team on a hybrid basis.
Description:

• 
  
• 
  Assists with analysis and verification of general ledger accounts.
  
  
• 
  Compiles and/or distributes monthly financial statements.
  
  
• 
  Ensures internal controls within the organization are implemented by maintaining audit trails and adhering to general accounting principals.
  
  
• 
  Cooperates with accounting team to enable accurate and timely financial closings.
  
  
• 
  Supports daily cash flow activities as needed.
  
  
• 
  Cooperates with the outside auditors to enable preparation of the annual audits.
  
  
• 
  Assists with the maintenance of balance sheets and reconciliation of the general ledger.
  
  
• 
  Completes monthly bank reconciliations timely and accurately.
  
  
• 
  Completes monthly contract summaries in order to bill grant funded programs.
  
  
  Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    4 year Accounting degree
    
    
  • 
    Knowledge of GAAP principles, preferred to come from a non profit or government environment.
    
    
  • 
    Intermediate skills in MS Office products.
    
    
  • 
    Blackbaud experience would be a nicety but not required.
