About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Senior Independent
Testing Specialist in Independent Testing and Validation as part of

Validation (IT&V) group is responsible for establishing and
maintaining a consolidated Enterprise Testing program at the
corporate level. Independent Testing and Validation is responsible
for developing a common methodology and standards, providing
governance and oversight, executing testing; and conducting
horizontal reviews. Testing and validation teams are responsible
for implementing the Enterprise Testing methodology, standards, and
executing group- specific testing. Corporate and Investment Banking
(CIB) Testing and Validation, within IT&V, is seeking a Senior
Associate to lead and assist with the development and execution of
testing and issue validation activities, including independently
assessing the design and operating effectiveness of Corporate and
Investment Banking (CIB) businesses in line with Corporate and
business policy, and applicable regulations and laws. In this role,
you will:
- Lead or participate in moderate to high risk or complex review
activities in a matrixed environment and communicate emerging risks
to management within Independent Testing
- Contribute to large scale planning related to Independent
Testing deliverables
- Review and research moderately complex potential corrective
actions, and follow through on reporting, escalation, and
resolution
- Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and
documentation of review activities for risk programs and controls
according to standards and other applicable policies
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet
Independent Testing deliverables while leveraging solid
understanding of risk management framework and the risk and control
environment
- Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners,
management and lines of business regarding risk management
- Lead role responsible for issues management and
validations
- Identify and evaluate applicable control environments to ensure
design is appropriate and performance is effective to mitigate
identified risks
- Ensure corrective actions are sustainable to address root
cause, mitigate identified risk, and ensure compliance with
regulations/requirements Required Qualifications, US:
- 4+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education Desired
Qualifications:
- Experience in Issues Management and Issue Validations
- Understanding of risk based control testing, including
assessing the adequacy of design and testing the effectiveness of
internal controls
- knowledge of product and process within Corporate & Investment
Banking
- Experience drafting issues and executive summary reports
- High initiative, proactive, and comfort with multi-tasking
- Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause,
and provide swift/thorough resolution
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and
work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong presentation, documentation, and organizational
skills
- Demonstrated success with influencing business units to
identify, formulate and implement processes/procedures to mitigate
risk
- Knowledge and understanding of complex regulatory/compliance
issues and potential solutions
- Demonstrated negotiation skills, especially with difficult
topics when partnering with lines of business. This includes the
willingness and ability to question decisions, understand direction
and escalate issues, where necessary
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and
accuracy
- Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationship
with key partners and senior management
- Articulate, poised and comfortable in direct interaction with
senior lines of business partners, Compliance, Independent Risk
