About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist to support Originations Risk as a part of Auto Risk Management/Independent Risk Management.

In this role, you will:

  • Independently perform complex and in-depth analysis to gain insight from data mining and other statistical/quantitative processes
  • Recommend strategy/process/policy improvements relevant for all credit risk originations teams based on analysis, regulatory requirements, and business partner initiatives to Senior Management and business partners
  • Identify and execute against strategic opportunities to support the ongoing refinement of credit policy and business operational efficiency
  • Demonstrate a team approach while taking a leading role in achieving results that meet business needs and regulatory requirements
  • Effectively communicate analysis results and strategy recommendations to business partners and senior management
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure flawless data process, analysis and accurate credit strategy implementation
  • Act as an Originations Risk subject matter expert on various cross-functional project teamsRequired Qualifications, US:
    • 4+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:
      • Strong coding experience in a data/analytic language (ex. SAS, SQL, Python, etc.)
      • Experience extracting data, building and operating with large data sets
      • Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to use data and business knowledge to research open-ended questions and strong problem solving skills
      • Proficiency with the MS Office suite; advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and pivot tables
      • Work effectively through change, ability to multi-task and manage timelines
      • Prior experience with Indirect Auto or Credit Card
      • Reputation for integrity, accuracy, big picture orientation and business understanding
      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience delivering presentations and building consensus across partners in the business
      • A Master's Degree or higher, in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Math, Engineering, Finance, or similar)Posting Locations:
