Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk. Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including: Data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.

The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.
Home Lending Servicing Risk is seeking three driven, experienced professionals with subject matter expertise in Home Lending Loss Mitigation processes, procedures, strategy and policy. The Risk Senior Associates will be responsible for the oversight and support of AGILE and SCRUM activities that support automation of Loss Mitigation processes. The successful candidate be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly visible environment.
Primary job responsibilities include:
Subject matter expert in Home Lending Loss Mitigation processes, procedures, policies and related systems with the ability to understand how changes impact credit risk.
Oversee and contribute to the development of requirements and test scripts for automation of new and existing Loss Mitigation strategy and policy. - Identify and raise risks and opportunities.
Partner with AGILE and SCRUM teams to understand the full development cycle and be engaged in the appropriate stages of the change process.
Review and credibly challenge test results for automation of Loss Mitigation processes to ensure that credit policy is adhered to and credit impacts are understood. - Provide guidance on test scripts and stories.
Enhance and maintain robust documentation that demonstrates thorough testing of credit policy and strategy was completed prior to deployment of automation.
Provide subject matter expertise of home lending servicing policy in related areas to technology teams.
Understand any change delivery or new business requirements, testing activities, and troubleshooting issues related to Loss Mitigation across all portfolios.
Assist in the Change Management process to support Business Driven Initiatives in an effort to align all procedures and checklists with process or be able to recommend new business efficiencies.
Provide regular updates to leadership and business partners and proactively escalate issues as they arise.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 5+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in risk management

Desired Qualifications
A BS/BA degree or higher
Experience testing policy and procedures/control testing
Knowledge and understanding of operational workflows process
Knowledge and understanding of Agile
Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Knowledge and understanding of loss mitigation or home preservation mortgage
Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

Other Desired Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of operational workflows process and/or AGILE approach
Knowledge of Home Lending Loss Mitigation and servicing systems, applicable tools, and automated decisioning tools like Workout Editor
In-depth knowledge of Loss Mitigation processes, procedures, strategy and policies across all portfolios
Loss Mitigation experience for consumer mortgage products
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to thoroughly research and analyze options and impacts of solutions
